The Protection and Well Being of Children is Everyone’s Responsibility.	Use Your Voice Campaign Educates Community About Child Abuse Prevention

October is Child Abuse Prevention Month in Ontario, a
time to focus on building community awareness of suspected
child abuse including neglect. The Children’s Aid Society of
Northumberland believes that public education and
prevention are the best ways to end the neglect and abuse
of children. The campaign's objective is to remind the
public that they have a duty to report and that children
are not always capable of speaking out for themselves.

Wear a purple wristband

The purple wristband is a reminder that the problem of child
abuse and neglect continues. Wear a purple wristband to
demonstrate your support, start conversations and help end
child abuse in our community.
